about
Oliver Estes is an artist based in the Midwest who has overarching emphases in ceramics, photography, and museum studies. In his ceramic work he uses the atmospheric soda firing process to create functional pots with unique and organic aesthetics, primarily focusing in ware that can be used casually in daily life. Through photography he is also exploring different interpretations of the world around him, drawing inspiration from the Pictorialist movement and lo-fi aesthetics.
